Tourism has its own rules, and the app knows them

A Tour is not a platform trip: it is arranged directly with the client, it requires a valid RNAAT permit on the day, and it produces a document to show if you are pulled over. The money is handed over in person — which is why it is not paid again in the settlement.

First, the permit

A Tour is a tourist entertainment activity, and the company needs the RNAAT permit, with its expiry date on the company record. Without a valid one on the day of the Tour, the app will not let it be issued — and says why.

This is not fussiness: it is the difference between an outing and a fine. The expiry date goes in like any other document, and is flagged before it lapses.

From booking to invoice

  1. The driver issues the Tour

The day, where it starts, up to two stops, where it ends, the client's name and email, and the price with VAT included. You get a notification. Once issued, the day, the route and the price no longer change — to change them it is cancelled and another is issued.

  2. The client accepts, without an account

They get an email with a “Rever · Review” button, read the terms and accept. No sign-up, no password, no app to install. The link can also be sent to them from the Tour screen.

  3. The document stays, in two languages

The driver keeps it on their phone. It is the paper shown to the authorities if they are pulled over, in Portuguese and in English — because the person stopping them may speak one and the passenger in the back another.

  4. On the day, at 9pm: invoice or not?

The app asks the driver. If they do not answer, it asks again the next morning. It is answered once.

The two outcomes, and what changes in the settlement

  • With an invoice

You get the request and, once issued, you mark “Invoice issued”. On marking it, the 6% VAT — already inside the price — is withheld from the driver in that week's settlement.

  • Without an invoice

The amount goes into the driver's earnings as an entry of their own, which they confirm there and then. On your side, the process closes.

The client pays the driver directly, in person. That is why the amount is not paid again in the weekly settlement — it appears in their balance as “received in person”, which is a different thing from what you owe them.

What Tours do not do

  • They do not issue the invoice. The company does, in its own system. The app records that it was issued and handles the VAT in the settlement.
  • They do not take the money. There is no payment inside the app. The client pays the driver however they agree.
  • They are not a substitute for the permit. The Tour document proves what was agreed with the client; the RNAAT is another thing, and it belongs to the company.
  • They cannot be edited once issued. The day, the route and the price stay as they were accepted — that is what makes the document proof rather than a draft.
